Dansk Supermarked is a leading Nordic retailer with over 1,200 stores in Denmark, Sweden, Germany and Poland. Their formulas include: føtex, Bilka, Netto, Salling and the webshop Bilka.dk.

Everyday, nearly two million customers purchase food and non-food products. Sound business practices, common sense and a constant customer focus has been our recipe ever since Herman Salling created the first føtex store in 1960.

THE CHALLENGE 

Dansk Supermarked needed to convert from a traditional brick and mortar retailer to a contemporary omni-channel retailer. This has high impact on the organisation and on the IT-system landscape. Osudio, jointly with the Dansk Supermarked IT organisation, took over the hybris installation that was implemented by a previous partner in order to become future proof and face the challenges that the conversion to an omni-channel require.

THE SOLUTION

Osudio was selected for its knowledge in retail user experience, concept development, graphic design and experience implementing and integrating SAP CX. Osudio and the Dansk Supermarked team jointly are responsible for software development  the omni-channel SAP CX platform and integration with the SAP back office.

THE BENEFITS

The click and collect solution that enables Bilka customers to order online and pick up in physical pick up points nationwide in Denmark. By offering the “click and collect” option to its customers, Bilka enhances its omni-channel proposition.
