Pan European e-business specialists Osudio and award winning Berlin based strategy and design agency CDLX (former Codeluxe) have decided to intensify their existing key partnership. Osudio has acquired a significant share in order to let both organizations fully benefit from eachothers core strenghts.
Founded in 1996 and present in Germany since 2005 Osudio has developed in the strategic e-business segment by combining a solid technological expertise with proven skills in designing digital products. Osudio has won multiple awards in Germany and other European markets.
CDLX, Berlin based digital strategy and design agency founded in 2005, specialises in absorbing company culture and brand and translate these in best in class digital design and solutions. CDLX works along their self developed principle of ‘Radikale Einfachkeit’. This implies reduction of abundance to the essence, resulting in simplicity that works.
Osudio works amongst others for international A-brands and enterprise customers such as Miele, Hoffmann Group, Fressnappf, Carlsberg, Philips and Goodyear. CDLX works for Selux, Euroboden, Hochschulen des Landes Sachsen-Anhalt. Joint customers include a.o. EJOT, Hoppe and Globus Fachmarkt.
Digital strategy and design delivered to European A-brands
The co-operation fully supports Osudio ambition to deliver digital strategy and UX/design capabilities on the highest level across Europe. Currently Osudio’s digital strategy and design customers are being serviced out of Amsterdam. The joint activities with CDLX allow Osudio to serve German customers out of Berlin in the German language. For CDLX , the co-operation allows them to serve European A-brands and leverage the e-business delivery capabilities Osudio has in house.
Full management commitment
CDLX has 12 employees and EUR 0,8m revenue in 2017. The transaction involves the foundation of a new GmbH of which Osudio will hold 51%. The go to market name remains CDLX. The current CDLX management, Hugo Goldner and Martin Christel, has committed itself to the success of this initiative. CDLX will be strengthened by support of industry veteran former CEO of Selux and senior digital strategist, Klaus-Peter Siemssen.
